Did you know there is a difference between being nice and being kind? What I have come to discern is that kindest extends past simply being nice and is built on a foundation of truth and honesty. When you are being kind, you are not just saying something that you know someone wants to hear, you are saying or doing something that may in fact be more challenging and difficult because it can involve setting/strengthening boundaries and sharing honest truths that someone may not want to hear or acknowledge.

True kindness involves setting healthy boundaries and practicing self-compassion, as we cannot pour from an empty cup.
