With new brand partnerships, next-gen materials are picking up steam.

After years of fits and starts, some brands and materials startups are taking partnerships to the next level. Here, we break down the highlights.

Next-gen materials are in this season. After years of materials startups announcing technology breakthroughs and brands dropping proof-of-concept products or capsule collections that go nowhere, the last month has felt different.

Of course at Voes & Co we have been pioneering the use of Next Generation Materials since 2018 with our Chelsea Boots made originally from Cactus Leather and now we've incorporated Corn leather into the mix.

We fundamentally believe that plant leathers and alternate vegan leathers are the future and are so excited to see this innovation happening in the space to be able to produce luxurious, high quality designer footwear with materials that use a lot less plastic (and some even plastic-free) connecting us more with nature and building towards complete circularity in the fashion industry.
